Reformed Faith and Life

Reformed Faith and Life (Foi et Vie Réformées) is a media ministry of Reformed convictions in the French language. Our motto is: Taking every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Cor. 5:10).

We are based in France, a country of 68 million people, largely secularized. Only 1% of the population call themselves “Protestants”. While this word includes liberal elements as well as broadly Evangelical trends (the fastest growing movement), there are extremely few Reformed believers. However, a generation of theologically educated and vocal young people is definitely emerging among them.

We operate from Fontevraud l’Abbaye, a small town in the central western part of the country, famous for its impressive 12th century abbey.

RFL is present not only on French ground, but also in Quebec (Canada) and French speaking Africa, where we keep broadcasting the Gospel in countries such as Mali or the Democratic Republic of the Congo via series of radio programs.

Our activities range from the production of short podcasts and videos posted on social media; articles for Christian magazines and theological journals; online webinars dealing with various topics; preaching in churches when invited; organizing camps or conferences on relevant themes from the vantage point of Biblical faith; publishing books and spreading written material.

5. Change the write up of Pablo Lanazuri to the following (but keep the photo):

Pastor Pablo Landázuri and Verenisse serve at Iglesia Reformada Luz de Vida (Light of Life Reformed Church) in Quito, Ecuador. Quito, the capital of Ecuador, has a population of approximately 3 million people. The predominant religion in Quito is Roman Catholicism (80%), which is largely nominal in spirit and secular in ethics. The majority of Evangelical churches (15%) are heavily influenced by the prosperity gospel, dispensationalism, Pentecostalism, and a charismatic style. As a result, non-Roman Catholic churches are often perceived as irreverent and informal, making outreach efforts in the community quite challenging.

By the Lord’s blessing, however, Luz de Vida has grown to a membership of 130. Currently, Luz de Vida is planting two more congregations—one in Tumbaco and another in the south of Quito. Additionally, Luz de Vida has partnered with Iglesia La Gracia to form a local denomination called Iglesias Reformadas en Ecuador (IRE).

In 2020, Luz de Vida launched a local Pastoral Training Program, which later developed into the Seminario Reformado de las Américas (SRA) in partnership with City Seminary of Sacramento (RCUS). Two men have recently graduated and are actively serving, with one having been ordained to the ministry.
